The New Direction of the Texas VHF-FM Society -
Our technical goal for the Society is to have the best informed and best trained hams operating the best maintained and functioning equipment in the United States. This is a lofty goal for sure. But as you can see; it's a goal that is most certainly obtainable with the great people that the Society is currently putting into place.
Administratively we have a new set of directors that is finally able to turn over ever stone; look at every document the Society produces; look at every function the Society performs and find ways to improve the Society's process and criteria for repeater coordination. Our directors are finally moving the Society into the 21st century.
The Society uses its resources for coordinating repeaters and spectrum management in Texas so that there may be as interference free as possible VHF-UHF operations. This is quite a job and takes many hours of work and dollars to achieve. The coordinators are all volunteers and the funds used in their efforts come directly from Society membership dues.
